I have an appointment, how can I prepare?Come in black, loose fitting clothing. It can get messy with the ink. Have a good thorough shower. If you know where you want your tattoo, shave and exfoliate the day before. Eat an hour prior, do not come with an empty stomach or under the influence. That is the best way to avoid fainting. Make sure to bring cash and a valid form of ID

How much for a tattoo?Base price is 100€ and will go up depending on the size and complexity of the design. (The usual range is 120-280€ for a 5-10 cm flash tattoo or 280-500€ for 10-15 cm) It all comes down to how long it will take us to complete. The design's complexity ie: details and filling in an area. Switching between many colors. Size of the overall tattoo. Where it is going on your body (arm is easier to tattoo than your throat that's moving and the skin is thinner, and more delicate) All these things must be considered when giving a price. Therefore I can only give an accurate number once all these questions are answered after our consultation, at the start of the tattoo session. The cheapest tattoos will be the minimalist lineart designs. The most expensive tattoos will be the painted, multicolor, shaded gauche designs. This is essentially like painting into your skin, as I switch between colors and gradually build up the transitions of shades.

Cancelations and refundsIf you cancel less than 48 hours before the appointment the booking fee can not be deducted from the final price.
-
Can I bring a friend? You may bring a plus one that can accompany you to the session and stay in the waiting room as we do the tattoo. I do suggest bringing someone you are close with and understands your taste. Sometimes friends can influence you towards a decision you wouldn't've made on your own. Otherwise, I do everything in my power to make my customers comfortable. I walk you through the process and you can send photos as we make the design so you can consult with your loved ones.
-
Is there a minimum?Yes, even for the simplest tattoo the base price is 100 euro. I am very happy to do simple little tattoos!
-
Will other people get the same design? No, the purpose of the booking process is to ensure each design is reserved only once. Everyone leaves with their unique tattoo!
-
Where is the address? Some shops I guest spot at are private and do not publicly disclose their location. Once you have paid the deposit you are automatically sent an email containing all the details for your appointment, including the location.
-
I am not 18 yet, can I get a tattoo?I do not tattoo minors. Even with parental agreement. The day you turn 18 I will be waiting for you with open arms.
-
TouchupsWhen? One touchup is included in the price of the tattoo, no longer than 3 months from our original session. 6 weeks must pass from the day of your tattoo. Or when getting a new tattoo, any and all touchups are free. Why? Setting up a station for any tattoo, no matter how big or small takes time and a lot of disposable materials. Therefore, it is preferred if you request a touchup at your next appointment where we can go over multiple tattoos with the single setup. Making the tattoo more time-efficient, cheaper, and more eco-friendly. How much? If you want a tattoo appointment just for the touchup outside of these circumstances it will cost 20 euro. To cover the cost of materials, travel, and shop fees. Please follow the aftercare instructions I give for the best results. In most cases, you will not need a touchup.

What is a custom?A custom is a tattoo design specially made for you, as per your request.
-
When will I get to see my design? For custom pieces, I draw up the unique design on the spot, with the guest there. This way you get to see the whole design process and have a say each step of the way!
-
What info do I need to provide? When completing the booking on the website, make sure to write down the placement, size and any additional info you think is important (ex: color/black, style, motifs to include) Come prepared with images if you want to show me elements you like. Pinterest is great for finding references. Feel free to mention if you have a budget.
-
What will you not tattoo?I avoid negative imagery or ideology. My tattooing philosophy is that there is already so much negativity around us. Why choose to have that reflected back to us in the mirror? Faceless portraits and names. I find it to be impersonal when wanting to commemorate someone. Great alternatives are their handwriting, their favorite flower, a design that captures a shared moment. Literal text. When doing typography, I tend to enjoy more poetic or symbolic ideas, that are up for interpretation. As you and your tattoo age, the meaning will have space to change with you. Ex: if you like cheese, and you want the text "I <3 cheese" I will most likely suggest we do a tattoo of gouda instead. I also refuse lip tattoos, they have a terrible chance of aging, as the cells in our mouth change faster than our skin. Waste of money for you, a waste of time for me. I do not take pride in tattooing preexisting characters and references to pop culture as a whole. It is a disservice to the animators and character designers, who have taken the time to create their world. I am not a printer and will never be able to capture the original character as well as the original. I do not believe in referencing IP* as you run the risk of the brand becoming synonymous with unfavorable ideology. Ex: JK Rowling, Kanye. *Intellectual property (IP) covers products, artistic or literary works, inventions, logos, and other things that are created and have legal protection as an intangible asset.

What is a flash?A flash is a premade tattoo design that has been created by the artist. They are in a style the artist normally works in and is to their liking. These designs are more affordable than custom work since flashes are already completed prior to the session.
-
My favorite flash is taken, what can I do?We can redo flashes with certain adjustments to make it your own. When booking you can select custom and specify that you want it to resemble another work that I have made. If a certain flash tickles your pickle, you should reserve it sooner than later to ensure it will be yours.
-
How much are flashes?Base price is 100€ and will go up depending on the size and complexity of the design. (The usual range is 120-280€ for a 5-10 cm flash tattoo or 280-500€ for 10-15 cm) My designs have a wide range of complexity and it is difficult to give a set price. I wish I could provide a menu. If you are concerned with not going over budget, please reach out and we can work together to scale down the size or detail of your chosen design. If you can reach out with specifications for your tattoo, I can do my best to give you a rough quote. Scaling up is possible but will increase the fee. Please email ahead of booking to confirm flashes larger than 15cm.
-
How much is custom work?I don't really distinguish between custom and flash. Unless there is a lot of back and forth. It will normally be around the same range. Custom designs are a fun challenge and the requests I receive are subject matter I enjoy doing. If you like my themes and colors, we will be a good fit for each other. The usual price range for my custom work is between 130-300€ for a 5-10 cm flash tattoo or 300-520€ for 10-15 cm) I will give an exact price once we see the design and size. Specify during booking if you have a strict budget.
-
What factors into the price? The more "complex" a design is- more lines, details, the longer it will take to do. Solid filled in shapes take much longer. The area has to be gone over a couple times to saturate the skin nicely with the ink. Size of the overall design will also require more time, and raise the cost of the piece.
-
How do I wash my tattoo?Using a liquid anti bacterial soap, or just any soap that has no added scents to it. Such as a liquid dove soap. Air dry or pat dry with a paper towel. Avoid soap bars and towels, they can hold bacteria. Scented products contain perfume which can further dry out your tattoo and cause irritation. Avoid at all cost.
-
There is ink and/or blood pooling up in the second skin, is this normal?Yes, that is completely normal and is expected. People call this an ink sack and is very satisfying to peel off when the time comes :) The liquid may dry up on it’s own, second skin is somewhat breathable.
-
How do I take off the second skin? After 3-5 days, remove in the shower, slowly peel from one of the corners. The humidity will loosen the adhesive.
-
How often do I moisturize?3-5 times a day. Thin layers rubbed into the clean tattoo. More frequent moisturizing is necessary during winter or for people with generally dry skin. Do not let your tattoo swim in product. Bacteria thrives in warm and moist environments.
-
What products can I put on my tattoo?Scentless moisturizing products are good such as coconut butter, shea butter or the hustle butter that we sell. Products such as sunscreen, perfume, scented body wash, scented lotions are not allowed and will cause damage to the tattoo. If you have had good experience with other products and are experienced with tattoos, it is ulimately up to your discresion how you choose to heal your new art. I strongly advise against vaseline and bepanthen, they will not cause harm per say, but the previously listed products always produce much more saturated, fresh looking tattoos.
-
The top layer of my tattoo is flaking off, is this normal?Yes, this is complexly normal. It is dead skin. Make sure not to pick at it or pull it off yourself. This can lead to the tattoo pigment healing uneven. Continue moisturizing and it will heal on its own.
-
How long before my tattoo heals completely?Your tattoo should be healed in 3-4 weeks with the proper aftercare. Feel free to keep moisturizing it even after this time is over. Week 1 is the most crutial as the skin is still "open" During this time please be diligent with moisturizing and keeping the tattoo clean. As the weeks pass it will require less attention.
-
My last artist said to use a different aftercare routine, why?All artists have different preferences and will recommend different products with various instructions. The advice I give has been pieced together through: What was taught to me by my mentors, accumulated through research and my own first hand experiences with my clients. My aftercare instructions are what I deem to be the most professional, comfortable, accessible and hygienic. Showing the best results, leaving your tattoo nice and saturated as it ages.
-
How long before I can do sports? The two things we have to consider is friction against the tattoo and sweat. Moisture may soak off the top layer premature to it naturally falling off on its own. Same goes for rubbing that may occur during contact sport or clothing in general. Swimming I would avoid for 3 weeks, no submerging during this period. Otherwise sports where you are just sweating I would not say less than 2 weeks. Everyone heals at their own pace and should do what is right for their skin and lifestyle.
